ซัก

v. 1. to wash;

2. to question, to interrogate, to examine.

ซัก- (to wash) is used only where clothes are concerned. To wash one's hand is ล้างมือ. ซักแห้ง- to dry clean;

ซักซ้อม- to arrive at (a complete understanding) by catechism or questioned and answers.

ดิฉันได้ซักเสื้อเชิ้ตให้เธอแล้ว I have washed your shirt.

วันพุธเป็นวันซักผ้าของฉัน Wednesday is my washday. ตำรวจซัก (ซักฟอก, ซักถาม) เขาอยู่สามชั่วโมง The police questioned him for three hours. เรียกเขาเข้ามาให้ฉันซักไซ้ไล่เลียงดู Call him in so that I can interrogate him.
